Frog Stencil & Cut File – a seated frog for screen printing

A seated frog with fine linework and spotted legs, drawn as a connected stencil and cut file for screen printing. The photos show a few of the ways it can be printed.

The design is connected throughout, so cut from stencil paper every layer has no loose parts and needs no weeding. It prints in one, two or three layers: the main design alone, with a background layer that follows the frog's outline, and/or with the eyes in another colour.

The design also works as a cut file for vinyl — used on the screen, or heat-pressed directly onto fabric (HTV).

Why You’ll Love It
  • Resize and reuse: the vector files scale to any size above the minimum, so one download covers as many prints as you like, in any size, colour or surface.
  • Simple to set up: the stencil is one connected piece, so cutting and positioning stay straightforward.
  • Clean, modern finish: graphic linework that suits screen printing, vinyl cutting and other projects.
How It Works
  1. Cut the stencil: cut from stencil paper with a cutting machine or craft knife. The design is connected, so there is nothing to weed and no loose pieces to place.
  2. Print in layers: tape the stencil under the screen and print. For two or three layers, let each colour dry before the next.
  3. Vinyl instead: adhesive vinyl works too: cut on a plotter, then weed the open areas before applying to the screen.
Recommended Size

Minimum stencil width: about 7 cm.
